We then went to the lovely minor harmonies of Elenke (no picks). Gold stars to those who took the time to work on playing both parts at the same time. Try it out. There are only a few repeating patterns in the whole song.
We then went to the challenging Theme from Abdelazar and talked about a few tricks for making it more playable. Some of you had already figured them out on your on - Yey for you! What fun! Attached below is a little cheat sheet showing you the chord shapes you can use in measures 3,4,5 and 6 to play the notes.
Continue to work on your flatpicking by practicing Bella Bocca Polka. Please note that in this song both the Uke I and Uke II are written on one staff in the second half. It is not the intention that you play both parts at the same time. Of course you can try that because it is possible, and a fun exercise (but not with flat picks).
The Uke I is the top note in the staff and the Uke II is the bottom note. Practice both parts… and the chord changes. Attached below is a slow version of this song.
OJO!!!!! This song has a KEY CHANGE in the middle.
I would really like for the Bold and The Brave to perform a song at the December BUG Jam (Dec 6). Think about what song from Book 3 your would like to do.
