the Daily Ukulele that you can play for the Holiday. Over the River… is in 6/8 time and We Gather Together is in 3/4 time so you can try out some of the strums we talked about in class. Both are in the key of C. Sorry about the crummy scan
First of all - JIngle Bells sounds great. Keep on practicing your parts for that. We have just one more class before we perform this at the BUG Christmas Party (Dec 7), but we will be ready.
∆ Remember that using "closed chords" is optional. I am introducing them early to this group so that you don't get "fixed" in first position, limiting the keys that you can play in and the type of music you can play, in the long run. I also hope that by starting on these shapes early, you will begin to think of them as do-able, and not so scary. However, please don't stress about them. Consider your OWN skill level and decide for yourself if you ready to work on these shapes. So far we have talked about the closed C shape and the closed F shape.

∆∆∆ Beethoven Canon - C (on the bottom of the page). Also practice B - we may get to that one, too.
∆∆∆ Jingle Bells - we'll have one more rehearsal in our next class
∆∆∆ Everybody Loves Saturday Night - pg 50
