About:
We are the Bellingham Ukulele Orchestra which was started as a ukulele class by our long-time Director, Gail MacDonald in 2009.
Once we honed our skills, we began performing and held holiday and spring concerts annually for a number of years.
Gail retired as director in December 2019, but the Orchestra was not done. We have carried on making music together, even practicing via Zoom during the pandemic. Although we don’t have a formal director now, Wendy Bohlke leads our rehearsals, is our spokesperson, and generally keeps us moving forward.
We play a wide variety of music and arrangements for ukulele and still work to provide an entertaining concert for the community each spring and fall.
