Ain't Misbehavin'
Program Notes:
Arrangement from James Hill of the Fats Waller song, "Ain't Misbehavin'
Slow Swing. Metronome 69. No intro
Written in Cut Time 2/2, but we will count it in 4/4. First note is C.
The chords James Ill wrote in are fine, but we will use this song to expand our use and comfort playing closed chords. Thank Brian Hansen and Helen Artsen for the chord sheet with alternative closed chords to practice. Having a mix of James' chords and these closed chords is fine.
Measures 11-14, play the chord at the beginning of the measure, tacit until 4, then play it again and move on to the next chord.
At the end, add a Bar 12 chord where the half rest is shown.
We will take turns singing solos in this song. Just don't rush it!
Here is a good YouTube version to play along with, in the same key: Ain't Misbehavin'
