Next week we will play While Strolling Through the Park again and will add the harmony, for those who would like to practice that. I think the harmony part is easier that the melody because it has less accidentals so don't be afraid of it. It is attached to last week's blog.
We'll also spend a little more time with playing intervals (3rds) on the uke but not enough to make you crazy. Just a little bit each week.
AND begin to practice Dance of the Hours. First work on finding the notes in the melody. Remember that we are in the key of Bb so all B's and E's are flat.
Next work on finding the TOP notes in the Use II. Then the BOTTOM notes. The rhythm will be pretty easy to get in class so just focus where the notes are.
If you are so inclined (after you have identified the notes of each part) try playing both Uke II notes at the same time using the handout I gave you in class. If you are confused by it, we will go over this next week in class (attached below). Also attached below is a slow version of this song.
