Impressive ….

Slovonic Dance is a very challenging piece and I am impressed that you did so well with it, and that many or you tackled the harmony.
We'll play that song again next week, so keep practicing it.
Also for next week practice:
Charlie is My Darling - the work here is playing the 6/8 rhythm, and reaching over to notes on the G string. this is a fun little jig in Am, meant to be played Joyfully!
Exercises on pg 23 (chords in the key of Dm)
and The Wayfaring Stranger - our work here is to hold the notes as long as you can. Try to make them extend into the next note. You do that by keeping your finger down on the string. For example, the first notes in the song are D D A. Keep your finger down on the D (allowing it to ring) until after you have played the A, likewise with the G and A in the next measure.
I have posted harmony parts for Sweet Betsy From Pike and Charlie is My Darling on the Resources Page

Playing in Minor Keys

It was fun to warm up with a bit of Dylan. Enjoy playing the other songs on your own at home. If you go to the Ukestra blog you can find some other tips for playing these songs, including finger picking.
Very impressive job by all on Hornpipe. It really is quite beautiful from my perspective. We will move on now but I find that this is a good piece to go back ot later on.
I suggest that you continue to practice (briefly and now and then) the chord progression in Round Her Neck She Wears a Yellow Ribbon.  It is a good drill and,  little by little, it will begin to sound better.
Next week, we'll play Slavonic Dance. I am attaching the harmony part for that below so you can try it out, if you want to.
Use the exercises on page 20 and Slavonic Dance to practice play chords in the Key of Am. Remember to listen to your recording and work on getting a good string back beat. I have put a slow version of Slavonic Dance below.

Up the neck in the key of F

When you practice this week, be sure to practice the tricky measures of 22 to 27 before you start at the beginning of the tune. The rest of the piece is pretty easy, as we saw last night.
Keep practicing that F scale across the neck. It will really help with Hornpipe because the fingering of the notes is exactly the same.
Also practice the chords for that song and continue to practice The Ryans and the Pitmans: chords and notes.
slow version of Hornpipe is
here.
